April 2008UPDATE!!!! . Marie will travel to Nashville in May 2008 to record an original album . She cant wait to work with this talented man and bring something special to the songs she has chosen. IMarie is working between her band and duos and plans to tour on her return from the states with her new album.. We do all Country songs from Patsy through to Gretchen. I love it all. Im sure I do my artists proud. Now a little about me. I was born in New Zealand and always listened to Country Music!!!!!!!!!
I came to Australia in 1988. In 1996 I started my singing career a little later than most, but I was doing my Loretta Lynn thing with having lots of fantastic kids. I have 6 girls and I had one son Jono who passed away from Cystic Fibrosis in 2000. Theres not a day goes by when I dont miss him. He was a gifted guitarist for 17 years old and could tune his guitar without a tuner!!
He was magic, He gave me great strength , I left a somewhat abusive marriage and bravely took on the single life. That was scary !!!!!!! I was to meet my soulmate Gordon and with his help I grew as a woman and a performer. I have been support act for Daniel Odonnell and Foster and Allen on there tour down under in 2002 in which year I brought out my debut Cd. They sold well, considering I didnt have a band at the time. Im looking forward to putting my stamp and originality to the songs I deliver. Well thats it for now I guess. Hey you never know what the future holds....
