About Me
Tore Andersen is today one of Norways most prominent country artists. He picked up the guitar at an early age, and turned to country music in his late teens. After touring for a decade with the likes of Ottar "Big Hand" Johansen and Bjoro Haaland (both Norwegian household names), he recorded his debut album, "The Hero In Me", in Nashville in 1992. That being a contemporary country record, he later has added more of an americana flavour to his music, and his last two solo albums "Tore Andersen" ,and the most recent "Right Around The Corner", which was awarded a Norwegian Grammy for best country album of 2009, mixes traditional country with rock, pop and bluegrass his own unique way. Tore Andersen has had quite a few of his songs cut by other artists, both in Norway and internationally, and he frequently travels to the US to co-write with the likes of hit-writers Byron Hill and Kathy Louvin.
