Inspiration My influences tend to be pretty varied. The biggest influences would have to be Garth Brooks, Rob Thomas (lead singer of Matchbox Twenty), and Edwin McCain.

Aside from that, everything from Hank Williams Sr. to Elvis and Merle Haggard to Jewel.

biography

I was born July 10, 1984 in Toccoa, Georgia, but I grew up in Walhalla, South Carolina. I'm now living in Nashville, Tennessee.

I consider myself a songwriter first but love to perform as well. I've been writing songs since I was 13. I made a CD that was pitched to Sony when I was 17, and we got some positive feedback. Things were looking good until Sony went thru a huge corporate merger around the same time (late 2002, early 2003). So that never went down the way I hoped it would. I've just been focusing on songwriting and writing with as many hit writers and talented new artists as I can since then. I'm currently working with Double Springs Publishing, a subsidiary company of Dixiana Music in Nashville.

I'm also the Operations Manager and a writer for Honky Tonk Magazine (honkytonkmag.com). Check us out.
