About Me

Somewhere between the coal mines and steel mills, mountain streams and majestic rivers, where blue collar meets corporate America, The New Relics have absorbed life around them and set it to music. Having been described as a band that “writes the perfect driving music” The New Relics blend great country, rock and americana into a sound that is the soul of modern american music. With comparisons having been drawn between The New Relics and the likes of Pat Green, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts and John Mellencamp, the band delivers a fresh radio friendly sound with great lyrics, storytelling and hooks that will have fans singing along. Their attitude is simple, deliver music that gives the everyday man a sense of place and optimism. The New Relics have taken the last few years and toured non-stop building up a following of fans and friends from the Carolinas to points north of the Mason-Dixon line. Working with the likes of Sawyer Brown, The Alternate Routes, The Pat McGee Band and more, The New Relics are finding a national audience. From small town fairs to big city clubs, they deem their fans as friends and make every effort to get to know the people that enjoy there music. The band is supporting their fifth CD release this year. 2007 put the band on the national charts with their single “Pictures”. Radio markets across the country have embraced the song as a sure hit along with a breath of fresh air. “One of the best bands I have heard in 5 years” says Lacy Neff at 50K watt WVAQ. “I loved it on the first listen” said Tim Phillips at KLAN. Clear Channel Radio has the pegged the band as one of the Top 100 new artists. Press outlets nationwide called the band “one of the most promising acts of 2007” and “one of the best kept secrets in rock and country”. The band looks to continue their radio support this year. The New Relics are a group with staying power. They look to bring you the best music and performance. The band can deliver you an exciting time of great music, good times, and long lasting friendship. Mike Arbogast (guitar and vocals), Jim Bidwell (guitar), Bryan Martin (drums) and Josh Swiger (Bass) use what they know to produce great music: a good lyric, a great melody and a solid driving beat.
