Sunday September 23 at the Fayette County Fairgrounds in Uniontown PA the PovertyNeck Hillbillies will be hosting THE 6TH ANNUAL FROSTY'S HILLBILLY JAMBOREE!!!!!! Come join us for a star studded evening to honor Frosty Higbee father of that fiddle player we all know and love all the while raising money for The Leukemia Lymphoma Society of Western PA. Vanessa Campagna will kick off the evening along with The Joe Zelek Band and The Stickers. These three local talents will be in great company with the guest appearances of National Recording Artists Daniel Lee Martin and Kristina Cornell. Daniel Lee, ChinMusic Records (CMR), was the "most talked about independent artist of 2004"according to CMT Magazine. He is also host of his very own original series on the Sportsman's Channel, "Backstage & Backroads with Daniel Lee Martin". Check out his current cd "On my way to you" in stores now. Kristina, who is signed with Loften Creek Records, Nashville TN, is a native of West Newton PA with an intense background in singing and songwriting. In addition to acting in some of county music's top videos, she has written with some quite impressive names in Nashville as well. Kristina's new cd "It's a girl thing" will be in stores in August. Of course rounding out the evening will be our very own PovertyNeck Hillbillies along with a video tribute to Frosty and a jam session with all the artists of the evening. Check back for information on tickets and times. We will need volunteers through out the day, please contact Suzanne at suzpnh@aol.com if you are interested..

We recently had the pleasure to combine our love of music with the chance to help others. A songwriter, Lee Peterson of Tennessee, sent us his song entitled "I'll Be Home Soon" that is about military families losing their loved ones. We recorded the song and created a music video to raise money for charity. The video was produced by Eric Pensenstadler at Video Horizons, LLC (www.VideoHorizonsLLC.com) and the music was produced by Buddy Hall at Beacon Hill Studio. We are currently working closely with Dr. Dan Sudnick of T.A.P.S. (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors). We have uploaded the video onto our web site at www.HotCountryRock.com and sent over 60,000 emails from Bill Balsamico of Casa D’Ice (www.casadice.com) containing a link to our web site with the song & video “I’ll Be Home Soon”, encouraging donations to T.A.P.S. We are hoping that these emails will then be forwarded to other people so that process continues around the world. Please take a moment to check out our video at the link below: http://www.hotcountryrock.com/movie.htm . We would love to hear your feedback and any assistance you can offer us would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, John Kiger The Kiger Brannon Band Email: j.kiger@hotmail.com
