Trade ya for...?
Thu. July 31, 2008
Hey all,
Here's a fun thing I've started. My friend Theo at the Coffee Plantation in Key West told me about a quest he's on to get his dream motorcycle and he's doing it all through a series of trades. He was inspired by Kyle MacDonald (oneredpaperclip.blogspot.com). He started with a red paper clip, and through a series of trades is now just a trade away from his goal.
So, to have a little fun, I've started my trade. I started with a handsome little red and white stripped paper clip, and have already made my first trade. I traded my paper clip for a Dynaco ST-80 stereo power amplifier and an ATI P100 turntable amplifier, both owned by Grand Ole Opry star and Country Music Hall of Famer, Hank Snow. These vintage audio devices are in great shape and both work fine. My friend Danny White of 16 Ton Recording Studios here in Nashville purchased them from the Hank Snow estate and traded them with me for my paper clip. Why would he trade such valuable vintage gear owned by a celebrity? Well, according to him he just wants to see me achieve my trade goal.
What am I after? A Vespa scooter. Preferrably a vintage one but a new GTV would do nicely. :-) I figured I'd try trading for something I'd really like to have, but would never spend the money on for myself.
So, if you have an interest in owning Hank Snow's turntable amplifier and power amplifier and have something to trade for it, please let me know. I'll have pictures up here soon.
For a quicker response, please email me at scotty@scottyhuff.com!
Take care,
...Scotty

So its almost the end of the year did you get to your goal yet? That sounds like a fun thing to do is TRADE and see what ya get. I don't see a new posting so you must still be trading away. :)
