New Feature: Block

Hi Everyone,

We upgraded some of our systems tonight and launched some bug fixes, so things should be going a bit smoother. Please let me know if you see anything working improperly.

We also launched a new privacy control due to popular request. It is called Block, and it does exactly what you think it might do... it allows for a Digital Rodeo member to completely block communication from another member. In short, this will delete them as your neighbor (if they are one), and you will be unable to exchange comments, messages, or become neighbors again.

Of course, we want everyone to get along on Digital Rodeo, and if you ever have a disagreement we encourage you to work it out. I guarantee it will make you feel better! But in difficult situations, you can use Block.

Please be aware, that if you block someone you will be unable to communicate with them as well. It is reversible, but make sure you are sure you want to block someone be...

Venue Profile and CMA Contest

Contact Importer : Do you wish you could instantly invite all of your friends in your email Address Book? or see if any of your contacts are already on Digital Rodeo....well now you can! Just go to our invite form http://www.digitalrodeo.com/public/invite and give it a try. At this point we support Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, AOL, or you can email directly. In the next few days we will be launching the ability to add friends from Facebook and MySpace as well.

Wizard : If you want to kick-start your profile but can’t quite figure out how to put everything together, then the new profile Wizard is for you. Profile Privileges

Hi Everyone,

We are busy developing new features for you guys! You should see a bunch of new ones very soon.

Here's one that is long overdue...You can now change privileges on how people view your profile. You can switch between:

Just Me: Which will make your profile 100% private, it can be useful when you are making a lot of changes to your profile and want to keep it hidden for a while.

Everyone: This profile will allow everyone to see your profile

Just My Neighbors: This will show your profile to only your Neighbors

Music Player Fixed

Hi Everyone,

There has been some issues with the Music Player loading oddly and saying "No Music Available" as well as the player being cached and play counts being outdated.

We've heard your requests and have fixed this. Your players should load cleanly and up to date now. The only downside is that it will take a second or two more to load, but it will load perfectly every time!

Hey guys,

I want to clear up some the confusion that circulates around our player as I know a lot of people are confused.

1.) First of all, every player and profile functions the same way...there are no favorites on DR!

2.) As far as the plays are concerned, we only record unique plays per IP address every 2 hours.

3.) The player only shows the play numbers on a revolving 24 hour window from the current time, that means that technically every minute the plays could change.

4.) One of the reasons your play numbers might not be showing up is due to cache on your browser...for more information on this go to http://www.digitalrodeo.com/help/issue/438.

All in all, these four factors can effect how your plays show up in a variety of ways, with everyone being informed it should make more sense now.

Again, we don't play favorites on this site, it's one of the thing...

We Hope you're enjoying all of the recent upgrades to DR! We have received a lot of positive feedback, as well as many bugs that our users have found. Tim and I have been working very hard to get these fixed for you in a timely manor.

Comments Backend
We recently upgraded your backend/comments page. This page will now display the comments that are posted on your Profile, Photos, Videos, Bulletins and the Blogs tool (if you have it installed).
