Richie Fields and his band Big Time Country are quickly expanding their fan base and becoming one of the most popular country acts in the region. Richie’s unique high-energy entertainment style along with the tremendous talents of some of the area’s finest musicians has been a winning combination that has been met with enthusiastic applause from fans and booking agents alike
Richie, who grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and now resides in the small town of Marriottsville, Maryland, says that he is doing nothing more than what his fans have encouraged him to do all along and that is to just be himself. “People can spot a phony from a mile away. Your audience can sense whether or not you are truly feeling the music and whether or not you are singing from the heart.” Entertainer Bobby Boyd says, “Richie is a genuine, approachable, humble guy, but no one will ever accuse him of being shy! Richie has a special ability to connect with his audience on and off the stage and it’s fun to watch people’s reactions during his shows. The crowd just feeds off his energy and you can tell he feeds off of theirs.”
His debut album, “Man Enough to Cry” was produced in Nashville by producer Jim Purdy and co-producer Dino Pastin (formerly with Alabama) and is now available for sale on his website www.richiefields.com and at his shows!!! The title track, written by Richie, gives you a glimpse into his introspective side and the vocals highlight the deep resonance in his voice as well as the emotion that he sings with. Richie says “anyone who has seen me on stage knows that I have a lot of fun entertaining people with up-tempo songs but I also love singing songs that are soulful and touch the heart. It’s fun to see people having a good time, partying and dancing at our shows but it is really special when your music can bring a tear to someone’s eye.”
Richie is excited about the future and is busy writing material for his next CD.
