Rascal Flatts' Still Feels Good is on course for the largest sales week by a country act in 2007, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Billboard reports that sales figures posted Friday afternoon show the band moved 321,000 copies through the close of business on Thursday. Opening day sales for the September 25 release stood at 175,000 copies. The Tennessean reports that totals by Wednesday's chart announcement should top 525,000. Rascal Flatts and the Dixie Chicks are the only country artists in the past two years to have first-week sales of 500,000.
Last week Reba McEntire's Reba Duets topped the all-genre Billboard 200, her first No. 1 on the big chart. Her album posted a career-best Nielsen SoundScan week of 301,000.
Last year Rascal Flatts' Me and My Gang posted the largest sales week by any 2006 album when it opened at 722,000 copies.
