about me
I have lived in Nottingham all my life. At the moment I work in a betting shop. The work is interesting and can be a lot of fun. I travelled a lot working as a croupier when I was younger to the Far East and Europe but.I always wanted to visit USA. In the last two years I have done a three week road trip of Texas, The CMA fest 2006 in Nashville, New York for shopping and the Dec just gone (07) my friend Lynn and I spent a week in the Fort Worth Stockyards. I love Texas. I knew all my life I would love it there. Having to wait till I was 40 was worth it.
At home in Nottingham I get my country fix by going to my Local club its called Freds Place cmc. We get brilliant british country music bands every week and great line dancing lesson in the week. There are links on my home page to this club and also a site where I post some photos and videos of my trips etc.
I also go to a few of the festivals over here, The big one is the Notts Americana or its sometimes called Americana International in July in Newark,

General
Travelling is a big passion, been to USA four times these last two years. I got to see plenty of bands and artists in Texas and Nashville.. I like also going to the British country music festivals each year. I take photos all the time check out my piczo site notts-tj.piczo.com. I love animals and I believe in a cruelty free world for us and them.
Activities
Go Line dancing, photography, computers,Campaigning for animal welfare. I like the rodeo, horse racing, dog racing ,etc but I am dead against bloodsports, brainless hunting and those that have pics of the animals they have taken from this world on a fun day out
Music
Mainly country,British and American too many to mention, erm... Charlie Daniels, George Strait, Brad Paisley, Sugarland, Pat Green, Elizabeth Cook, I really like country Rock such as Trent Tomlinson and Lee Roy Parnell, get confused sometimes as to what each artist comes under, when in a quiet mood I enjoy Alison Moorer or Dan Seals. Have seen many of my favourites from going to Nashville CMA fest 2006. Saw Tracy Byrd and Luke Bryan in Texas in Dec 07. Have seen the brilliant Kevin Fowler here in Nottingham years ago but he never came back. Also last year saw Elizabeth cook at a club here called The Maze and I loved her cd 'Balls' hope she comes back she's very normal, humble, approachable etc. We've got got great bands over here some of my favourites are Kalibre,The New Smokey Mountain Boys, I will come back to add to this constantly as I can't even scratch the surface

Anything hot!!! Indian, Vegetarian, English, I really like Mexican when in Texas, got hooked on it at a place in Fort Worth called Mercado Juarez, the salsa is amazing.
