Kerosene, featuring Karri Fedor, is a cover band providing it's listeners an eclectic blend of country, blues and rock with an edge. The band flawlessly flows from soft, contemporary ballads to raw rock and roll while maintaining their roots in contemporary, mainstream country. This flexibility, that few other local bands possess, is due to the vocal power and versatility of Kerosene’s featured singer, Karri Fedor.
Although Karri’s primary influences are Pat Benatar, Patsy Cline & Janis Joplin, she brings to the stage a complete vocal package of contemporary country and hillbilly blues with a love it or leave it relentless rock and roll attitude. This attitude brings Karri’s performance into a new dimension of country that has been long awaited by country and rock fans. Karri’s ability to capture her audience with her dynamic vocal range and high energy stage presence cannot be put into words, but must be seen first hand, as she takes center stage at various local events.
Moreover, the band’s musicianship only compliments Karri’s vocal range. David Howard, perhaps one of the areas most accomplished guitarists, heads off the guitar section with tasteful, soulful leads, while maintaining his rhythmic charisma. The Michael brothers, (Jeff on rhythm, John on drums) have played together for nearly 25 years. Coupled with the rock solid bass lines of bassist John Begala, this rhythm section supplies Kerosene the tight grooves that keep the dance floors full. The lineup was completed when Jim Matlock materialized at the piano in Jeff Michael's living room.
Although many local and regional country bands may consistently please their fans, Kerosene, featuring Karri Fedor, always seem to keep their fans coming back for more. That being said, be sure not to miss this new dimension of contemporary and hillbilly country… with a rock edge and Fedor attitude! The 'Rockin, Hillbilly Blues' never sounded so good.
