W.O.A.M.

Hi all! I hope you're doing great today! Me...well I'm on top of the WORLD! WHy? Because of YOU! The video just moved back in to the top 10 on GACTV because of your voting efforts on my behalf! Now that's awesome! 9 to be exact! You sure made me smile with THAT one! And then there's our 5th week at 1 on CMTpure. YES!!! See, to me every week we're there just means that more people get to see me and hear the music and more people in the music industry have to take notice that YOU are all out there and growing in numbers every day! And THAT is what it's all about! GAining new fans, keeping our veterans and growing and moving forward.
I never wanted to be like other artists and start a paid fan club for a few reasons! The main one being that I NEVER WANTED TO EXCLUDE ANYONE! No tone single person. The other reason being that I feel like theres something wrong with charging someone to be a fan when they are buying CDs , tickets to shows, buying fuel to get there, hotel rooms to stay there, t-shirts, keychains, pictures, etc.;.....so I've always said that if you come to a show or buy the CD, then you are in the fanclub. Automatically!
I stay after every show and meet every single person so that NO ONE feels excluded.
SO a lot of you banded together and started the Women On A Mission (WOAM) and have done so many great things, SELFLESS things, and attached those things to my name, and have reached out to new fans and friends, and have forged new friendships and relationships that WILL stand the test of time. And that has been amazing! ANd I've been very proud to know you all and to be a small part of something bigger than al of us.
So imagine my surprise when 2 ladies came up to me last night in Lawsonville, NC and told me that that they were told by 2 WOAM members that they couldn't be Women On A Mission because they hadn't been to enough concerts! One was very angry about it and one was on the verge of tears. I asked how many shows they had been to and it was both their 3rd time to come to a show. I wasn't aware that there was rule saying how many shows you had to attend to be a WOAM, and if there is I REALLY need someone to clarify it for me.
Please know that I love you all, and I appreciate more than you can imagine, EVERY mile driven, every phone call made to radio, every keystroke on a computer made to vote, to send an email, every CD bought, every t-shirt bought and worn, and every single ticket bought to see a show. You all have my heart! And I give it as willingly to you as you give yours to me!
