Welcome to the neighborhood. I love your shed. Your music is great too. I was born and raised in Owosso, Mi with lots of country music players. My Dad, Ralph Shears, had a 30 minute spot on WOAP back in the 60's where he showcased live music. Uncles Jack Shears and Kelly Sutton both played all over Michigan for years. I am a retired UAW member. I now volunteer at the VA with homeless Veterans that are trying to get off the streets and back to work. So you music hit me on many levels. God Bless You and keep the music coming......Sally

In honor of the soldiers that lost thier lives this week in Iraq, I would like to post this song...My heart goes out to all the families. I know it could have been my son who is still over there fighting. May god be with you and you are in my prayers. The lyrics are on my site..please join my neighborhood..Tamra Lynn Smith
American Soldier ..Written by Tamra Lynn Smith
There is a soldier in a foreign land
kneeling on his knees with his rifle in his hands
asking the Lord to see him safely home
American soldier feeling all alone
He's seen things over there no man should have to see
In a country torn by war a land in misery
Unless you've walked in his boots you can't understand
An American soldier in a foreign land
Chorus:
He doesn't want to be there but he's not afraid to fight
He is a soldier so he will do what's right
he will stand by his country that's what a soldier's for
But he'd rather be home than fighting in this war
yeah he'd rather be home than fighting in this war
He had a bomb go off right by him yesterday
Now it's in his nightmares never going away
Suddenly he sees how fragile life can be
when a soldier is faced with his mortality
repeat chorus:
He's got a baby boy back home who barely just turned one
What he wants the most right now is just to hold his son
He wasn't there to see it as he learned to talk
now he's gonna miss it as he's learning how to walk
Chorus:
He doesn't want to be there but he's not afraid to fight
He is a soldier so he will do what's right
he will stand by his country that's what a soldier's for
But he'd rather be home than fighting in this war yeah he'd rather be home than fighting in this war
Bridge:
So he sits on his knees in the desert sand
Holding his rifle gripped tightly in his hands

Dear Member, We need your help in creating a network of experienced artists and musicians to help answer questions for struggling artists and to share your stories. Please think about joining our group and lend a hand in helping others find their dreams. The group it monitored closely and no spam...I could use your help. You only get one digest every week or so. I also need bio stories....
