Natalie Aulvin & Trey Call, call them Dirty Proper, put a proper new twist on pop, rock and country soul. A dash of Dusty Springfield with a twist of alternative rock delivered in a voice that both soothes and feels familiar. Crunchy pop guitars mingle with funky southern soul grooves and a Minimoog here and there. The song lyrics wrap around themselves and don't rhyme if they don't need to!
Interesting arrangements instead of the standard twang and obligatory lo-fi production of most Americana records these days.
Dirty Proper seems to be both dirty and proper! It is definitely appropriate!
