| About Al Bradshaw Songwriter/Musician |
|
Big Al (B.A.) Bradshaw has been involved in Music since his late teens. He began his musical career as a bassist . As well as being a Bassist Al plays several stringed instruments. Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo and Pedal Steel Guitar. Songwriting is another talent that he was developing since his early teens.
My early influences on Pedal Steel were The New Riders of the Purple Sage w/ Buddy Cage, The late and great John Hughey, Doug Jones, Jerry Garcia and Bobby Black to name a few.
Al spent the late 70's performing as a bassist . After years experimenting with many different musical directions Jam Bands ,Jazz, Country and Rock Al found a gig playing bass along side one the west coasts premier steel guitarists Doug Jones of The High Prairie Band. The Band hosted the Oregon Country Jamboree a weekly T.V. and radio broadcast. Getting the chance to listen to Doug everynight was the greatest experience I could have gotten. Al worked next with the Oregon legend Jimme Lee Holder as a multi instrumenal featured player in his showband.
In 1987 Al moved to Florida and became active in the local music scene.
Al joined the succesful Boy's From Johnsville and later Southern Rail and toured exclusivly w/ them. An original member of a couple of Brevard.
County's favorite country acts The Baker Brothers Band and Kenny McLaughlin and The Hired Gun's. The Hired Guns performed in Brevard County throughout the 90s and recieved critical acclaim and radio airplay. It was during this time the song Riding with Jenny was written and recorded. Al has been a member of The Saddle Band since 2000 and has performed throughout Central Florida. Al has toured the United States and Canada and has performed with many of todays and classic country artists.
At present I am in the studio writing and producing new songs.
