PLC RECORDS is an independent record company formed by recording artist Cody McCarver, Michael Yarworth, Attorney Keith Andrews and Grammy Award Winning Record Producer Csaba (Chubba) Petocz. The company was originally formed in Los Angeles, and has now opened offices in Nashville, TN and New Orleans, LA.
PLC Records released its first single, "Red Flag," from artist Cody McCarver in late 2006. The single reached No. 25 and the “Red Flag” video garnered the top spot on CMT’s 12 Pack Countdown. In the fall of 2007, the company released Cody’s second single, "Through God’s Eyes." This autobiographical song recants true events in Cody’s life and provides an intriguing perspective into how we view others.
The success of "Red Flag" and "Through Gods Eyes" brought Cody two Music Row Magazine awards for 2007: Independent Break Out Artist of the Year and Music Row Independent Artist of the Year. Looking ahead to 2008 and beyond, PLC Records will be releasing new singles with Cody McCarver, as well as with its newest artist, Amanda Henkel, who recently signed with PLC. Amanda is a lovely and talented young lady from Slidell, Louisiana and you will be hearing much more from her. Look for Amanda’s first single coming SOON in 2008!
