I have spent the last 8 years as part of the Award winning band CONFEDERATE RAILROAD. Several years before that I played every honky tonk from coast to coast as Cody McCarver and Southern Xposure. Before that I was Lynn Anderson's Bass Player ( I beg your pardon I never promised you a Rose Garden). I was honored to be able to record a duet with the late and great JOHNNY PAYCHECK. I been fortunate to have worked with some of the biggest names in the Country Music Industry. Call it paying dues or having fun, but I have been led to this place in my career. I have spent the last 2 years back and forth between Capital Studios B in Hollywood CA. and SOMEWHERE in America recording my first solo CD. The CD was Mixed by the legendary CHRIS LORD ALGE' (Green Day, Dave Mathews ect) and Produced by Grammy Award winning Record Producer CSABA PETOCZ ( John Michael Montgomery , Metalica and the list goes on). My new single which will be mailed to radio Fall 2007 is a song I have been writing for 5 years called "THROUGH GOD EYES". This song was hard to write because it's basiclly my life. You will hear mention of a homeless gentleman named Jim in the song. He lives in my hometown of Dunlap Tn. You will hear the names Bill and Delilah in the song. These are my parents and is VERY TRUE, unfortunately. Then there is mention of a LONG HAIRED GUITAR PICKER IN A HILLBILLY BAND. Yep, You got it "THATS ME". This maybe TRUE, Cody just won Music Row's Independent Artist and Music Row's BREAKOUT ARTIST of 2007! He was presented these awards at Country Radio Seminar in Nashville TN, on March 4 2008.
