Ashtyn Wallace, a 21 year old Oklahoma native, experienced the magic of music at a very young age. Having her mom as a singer/vocal instructor, and her late father in the radio business, music was practically another member of the family. By age 3, she could sing every song word for word to the musical "Les Miserables." Ashtyn first began singing publicly at age 5 where she performed in numerous musicals in and around the state of Oklahoma. She then followed her mother's footsteps by frequently singing at the family's church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Once Ashtyn entered highschool, she joined a four-girl singing/dancing group that did well over 100 shows per year. They also cut an album and were featured several times on a "Tulsa's Best" cd. Additionally, the girls did numerous local tv appearances/performances. When Ashtyn graduated highschool, she left the group and moved to Nashville to attend the prestigious Belmont University. She studied music business while also pursuing a solo career.
"I feel that I have been through more hardship in my first decades of life, than some people undergo in a life time. Fortunately, I learned to channel that hurt into my singing, and therefore feel that I have something special and different that comes out in my voice."-Ashtyn
Ashtyn is currently working on an EP. It will be available for purchase early fall of 2008 on iTunes, Cdbaby.com, and various national chain stores yet to be announced. She has also recently gotten involved with acting in music videos for several country artists, so keep your eyes open for her!
With the amazing support of her family and friends, Ashtyn is completely driven to follow her dreams and strive for the best. And knowing her... she won't stop until she gets there.
