THE COMPILATION CD is finished. Spirit of the Outlaws Volume One features incredible artists from across the country backed by the legendary Spirit of the Outlaws Band. The CD features originals and a few outlaw covers and will be the first of it's kind in history. Indie artists with the legendary band...all making music for the sole purpose of quality. The cd was recorded at Jerry Bridges Studio in Mississippi with the spirit of Waylon in the hearts and minds of all the musicians and artists. A broad range of musical styles brought together by these talented individuals in a stunning collection.

Spirit of the Outlaws Shows began in Nashville in Feb. 2007 and ran for one year. With former members of the Waylon Jennings, Porter Wagoner and Merle Haggard bands and fronted by songstress Brigitte London, this Outlaw Supergroup of legendary Nashville musicians were joined by some of the best Artists of today ---together creating what is perhaps the most dynamic and entertaining shows in years. Once a month, artists from across the country came to the heart of music city to perform the music that they cherished along with their own originals, building a movement that reached beyond the performances. Several of these artists recorded on the Spirit of the Outlaws Compilation CD that will be released this year.
There is a new day dawning. A light of truth, a committment to music that is so powerful, those that don't understand it have to leave it's presence. The sound of unapologetic and unleashed soul....It is the Spirit of the Outlaws.
There is power in being real, being true...It takes fearlessless. You can't market fearlessness. And those that approach their music with fearlessless, passion and a desire so intense it feels like a train is passing through you when you hear them, carry that power.
Those that have it, honor and respect the integrity that came before them. Men and women who refused to let their music be boxed in by anyone, who produced their own records, touched on taboo subjects, spoke of life in the truth of pain, love, sexuality, and pure joy. And honed their craft until they were legends: Waylon, Willie, Cash, Hanks, Kristofferson, Shaver, Steve Earle, Jessi Colter, Loretta Lynn, Haggard, Jones--they were all the birth of this musical spirit in country music and in rock and roll.
SPIRIT of the OUTLAWS brings this to light with new Artists of TODAY who follow their own musical path, refusing to compromise. We bring the spirit of the past together with the present in one hell of a combination.
We don't place limits on genre, as this extends beyond any boundaries of labels of country, rock, folk. It's just good music, pure and simple.

Perpetually and infectiously vivacious, London is a modern day maverick committed to supporting authentic, heart and soul driven independent artists and their music, a true testament in and of itself to the original roots of the outlaw movement.

This petition calls for the reinstatement of Opry legend, and country music star, Hank Williams. Fifty years have passed since the tragic and untimely death of country music's greatest performer, who made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry on June 11th, 1949. A few years later, in 1952, Hiram Hank Williams was asked to leave the Opry -- with the intention that he would sober up and make a return to the stage that he loved so much. Before he could make that return, he passed on, in the back seat of a car on the way to an Ohio show. It's now 2007, and Hank Williams has yet to be reinstated to the Opry. Hank Williams has been one of the most influential artists to ever record; changing the face of music, and the way that we view country music. Since his passing in 1953, he has posthumously achieved numerous rewards and achievements. In 1961, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and a few years later, he was added to the Country Music Hall of Fame Walkway of Stars. In 1973, he was the recipient of the Pioneer Award by the Academy of Country Music. He received a Grammy for 'Your Cheatin' Heart' in 1983, and was then inducted into the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame in 1987. That same year he was given the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. Life Magazine even ranked Hank Williams #1 on the 'Most Important People in Country Music' list. Within his short years with us on earth, he had 11 #1 singles, including 'Lovesick Blues,' 'Kaw-Liga,' as well as 25 other Top 10 Singles.
We, the undersigned, feel that it is past due for Hank Williams' reinstatement to the Grand Ole Opry. Hank Williams was one of the most influential people to ever record or write music, and his untimely death made it impossible for his to 'redeem' himself in the Opry's eyes, but after 50 years we feel that his legacy has more than made up for any objections that the Opry may have
