On this album he played with some of Nashville's finest studio musicians, Jim Wood (fiddle, mandolin, guitar), Roy Huskey, Jr. (stand-up bass), Pete Huttlinger (guitar), Dale Armstrong (drums), Byron House (electric rythm), and the incredible Doug Jernigan on steel guitar.
This was in fact the last session Roy Huskey, Jr. played on before his untimely death.

"Warm Red Wine and Smooth Talking Women" is a "Let's Get Real" and "Rosebud Production." Randy was raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina playing country and bluegrass music. He learned the roots of this music from an early age playing bands at venues ranging from late night festivals to early morning revivals. After college, Randy spent two years in Las Vegas with the US Air Force. This opportunity gave him the experience of playing bars and casinos.
"Warm Red Wine and Smooth Talking Women was originally recorded and released in 1996. Due to fan responce Rosebud Records has re-released the album and several new singles will be released later in the year.
His next move took him to England. He traveled throughout the south of England performing with a country trio for two years until his separation from the service. Randy remained in England and eventually formed the bluegrass band Southern Exposure. After six years together, they successfully recorded, produced, toured and promoted their CD "Small Town." While in Europe, Randy worked with such talents as Allison Krauss, Mark O'Connor, Tim O'Brien, Laurie Lewis and Tom Rozum and Sugarbeat.
July 8, 1996, The Randy Gambill Showcase featured some of Nashville's finest musicians, playing at Nashville's premier night club "The Music City Mix Factory." Randy's recent move to Nashville brings his new country release on Rosebud Records, "Warm Red Wine and Smooth Talking Women." Six of the ten tracks are self-penned and show his ability as a writer and musician. It is a culmination of his thirty-seven years of living music. Randy Gambill - Born in the hills of North Carolina, Randy has come a long way with his unique style of music, which ranges from Appalachian Folk, Bluegrass, Country & Western to Western Swing. Randy is not only a talented vocalist but an accomplished songwriter as well. He has been the lead singer for the group Southern Exposure, for the last 10 years as they toured England and other parts of Europe, where he has very large following.
