Sounds Like
Five boomers still not too old to rock...and loving every minute of it.
Brother Short is a collective of five brothers of different parents,
brought together by fate and bound together by their love of music
and each other. Their music reflects a long and winding set of paths
that intertwine and cross at points seemingly chosen for their poignancy
and timing, as if it were inevitable. A Brother Short song can lift you up,
touch your spirit, make you sing, dance and cry and leave you with a lasting impression.
Hailing from Northcentral West Virginia, Brother Short consists of singer/guitarist/
songwriters Greg and Luke Short, bassist Chuck Wilson, keyboardist Mike Dorsey
and drummer Bill Harding. Over 100 years of collective experience in
songwriting, performing and entertaining is evident in their music,
both live and in the studio.
With influences ranging from Marshall Tucker, The Allman Brothers,
The Eagles, Little Feat, CSN&Y, Doobie Brothers and many others,
their sound appeals to a wide variety of musical tastes and genres.
The first CD, "Sacred Fire" conveys the groups' diverse influences
from country to classic rock, with plenty of stops in between. Their
second CD, Grey is a continuation of the evolving expression of the
groups shared musical roots. On MP3.com, Give It Time and Harley
reached ..12 and ..39 respectively on the classic rock music charts. Brother Short is pleased to
announce the arrival of their latest work, Brother Short
The new self-titled CD was recorded at Bag End Studio in Waynesburg,
PA. and mastered by John "Mr.C." Crispino at Studio 68 in New Brighton,PA.

Deep Thought of the Day for Bill: Love can sweep you off your feet and carry you along in a way you've never known before. But the ride always ends, and you end up feeling lonely and bitter. Wait. It's not love I'm describing. I'm thinking of a monorail.
