A dense silver mist is on the air
and you wait for the genius presence ...
And ... surprise ... YOU is the genius ! You're inside on that mist !
The meaning of this is that YOU can achieve all you want .

> A BIRD , 1999 .............

Here's a cool moment of my life that I want share with you :
1999 : like today , good times .......
Zildjian , Paiste , Tama , Sabian , Remo , Pearl etc .....
the names that were on my day by day .
Money on the pocket , I buyed my drum :
a beautiful black Mapex Mars that you'll see on the video .
And to transport it to the studio , a WV Kombi was buyed also ...
I sold it because :
( 1 ) I was not more playing everyday and 1 hour/day is the
least to the drum itself doesn't forget you ,
( 2 ) is very hard to maintain a drum .. transport it ..
the pieces - for me - was expensive ,
( 3 ) I had not space to set up it nor how to cut of
the noise to don't worry my neighbours ,
( 4 ) I was wanting an instrument to play everywhere ,
God .. was *very hard* to sell it !
The video you see here I made on 16 September 2009
and the music was recorded on someday of June 1999 .
The music named 'A BIRD' is about freedom .
I recorded it on a (!) very simple K7 hand-recorder
that was always with me : sorry the quality of the sound .
My son was 9 years old when designed the cover and I
was only with 8 months of playing and never was taken a lesson
with a teacher and did think 'why not ? ' : I sent a copy for the BATERA ,
an esteemed magazine we have here and
WOW !
the music was the Demo Of The Month !
Alaor Neves ( a very respectable brazilian drummer ) wrote :

It's a drum solo , almost four minutes , where Alex shows his hability on
the semi-quavers with the large drum , maitaining the same design ,
that create a 'mantra' that to wraps ,
with prominence to the work with the cymbals .
Unfortunately the quality of the record is few , confound a lot ,
is impossible to listen details , but what matter , in this case ,
is the intention . Really , with the work of the cvymbals ,
there's an impression of a fly ,
and because this the title 'PASSARO' has meaning .
In spite of the precariousness of technical terms ,
the most important was made ,that is the registry of
a moment where was many quantidy of expression . Go ahead ! ( Alaor Neves ) "

wrote that the music is dedicated for him
( I'm his fan .. do you enjoy the LP 'Rising' , by Rainbow ??

UM PÁSSARO , in portuguese language , means A BIRD .
I change the name to english because we're on the internet times ..
The bird to keep flying on and that drum is on my heart forever .
How knows someday I buy other drum but at this
moment I don't think this : I'm very very happy with my guitar
and want to do more music with it .
After I sold the drum a new window was opened into
the strings of the guitar because I focused more
and more the music just on a guitar ............... so here I go ......

Our bud passed away because advanced age .
My buddy .. you passed away and I don't believe !
What sadness I feel now , Spike .
I remember of the first day when you arrived on our home .
You was very small. A white little dog , very funny and playful .
The time has passed and you grew. Turned on a big dog .
It was very cool to play with you , bud !
One day I was sleeping on the couch and you
showed up and was sleeping on the floor ,
like protecting me of the world.
I will never forget this day ..
was one of the most significant of my life .
Moreover, you always protected us , our family .
You always worried about our safety .
I always trusted in your protection .
I want to be like you :
strong .. smart .. cheerful .. attentive ..
And now you're in somewhere ...
My dog .. my pet .. my friend .. my bud .
Our dog .. our pet .. our friend .. our bud .
I miss you . I am sad , yes .
But you're here ..
your presence is on the house .
I feel you still are in protecting us ,
in another dimension .
I still hear your steps by the house .
I still hear you barking .

fun that you provided to us all !

It was comforting when you came all happy to receive me ,
in the gate of our house .
And now you passed way ...
That wasted tennis ball is here ..
your towel too .. your brush .. your collar ..
I am sad but calm :
you , of course, is a place where there're other pets .
A place of love . A happy place .
You fulfilled your mission , Spike !

> AUGUST/SEPTEMBER and going on ..

Oh .. sh*t .. I'm without fast Internet in my house .
My conection is dial-up at this moment
and we know that it sucks ...
I'm using a loan PC to update my profile , write this post etc .
Because this my login on Myspace is 1 time/week ( or less ) .
Hope change this situation soon ( $$$ ) .
Ok let's go to the post itself :
I'm more and more giging near of my house .
Now I know the importance of to create a LOCAL PRESENCE !!
There's a lot of cool people I'm meeting .. cool situations also .
Please be patient that I'll post some pics/videos of this .
go/go/go ...
I'm going for places 1 hour ( of bus ) of my house to gig .
Paulista Avenue is really cool to do it because there're very
interesting people walking during all the day .. tourists .. people
on happy-hour drinking and enjoying the life on the sidewalk etc .
But now I'll go there more on the nights of Fridays and weekends .
During the next weeks I'll play on my neighborhood .
People on the bakerys , on the markets , on the squares , on the
bus stop , on the shops , a itinerant salesman .. etc . How many
cool people living near for me and I was not knowing !!
I think it's cool to my music and for me . People listen it and
recognize me when I'm walking somewhere on my neighborhood .
Is gratifying when someone says " Hey I saw you giging there !! " .
The importance of to establish a local presence I did read on the
Kavit Haria's blog ( innerrhythm.org ) . Must read !
