I have been a volunteer for numerous charities here within the Nashville area for a number of years. Often times I am able to work with my two best girlfriends Pamela and Barbara.
Pamela is the one who introduced me to what used to be The Madison Childrens Home, located in Madison, TN. Due to some legal reasons they were no longer able to house and counsel Women and Children under the same roof. The Madison Children's Home decided to change their name to The Morning Star Sanctuary and are able to continue helping familes recover together.
Morning Star holds two annual benefits yearly, one in the Spring and one during the Christmas holidays "Christmas of Hope." The funds raised go one hundred percent to heping keep the doors open to Morning Star where they continue to help abused women and children heal and stay together as a family, until they can start their lives fresh.
The benefit to be held on June 9th, 2007 is sponsored by Pamela Burton-Sousa and the famliy of the late Bonnie Austin she was also a fellow volunteer for Morning Star.
Bonnie died this year from terminal cancer, she and her husband both wanted to do more for Morning Star. Her husband and my best friend Pamela are holding this benefit in memory of Bonnie and all proceeds will go to The Morning Star Sanctuary in honor of Bonnie Austin. This will be an annual event held in Old Hickory, TN at the home and propery of Pamela Sousa-Manny and her husband Manny Sousa.
The Benefit will include a free concert from 4:00-7:00 p.m., a silent auction, games and face painting by my dear friend Barbara Greene.
Singer/Songwriter/Entertainer, Shelia Byrd is confirmed to appear. Ed McMahon Next Big Star (Star Search) winners, J3 on Rosebud Records are also confirmed to appear. Stay tuned for other artists and artists schedule to be posted here at Morning Star.

Pamela provides a Thanksgiving dinner for the Mothers and their families on Thanksgiving and on Christmas each family member receives a special meal and Christmas presents thanks to Pamela Burton-Sousa and The Morning Star Benefit. This benefits are held at secret location each year to help mantain the safety of the families.

Vera loves working at Rosebud Records and promotes Country & Western and Christian Country Music.
Currently working with former Ed McMahon, "Next Big Star" winners J3. The female trio J3 will complete recording in March on their Rosebud debut album entitled "Best of Friends" to be released June 10, 2007. J3 have also recorded two mini albums currently released on Rosebud Records. One is a country project entitled "Good For Us" and the other mini CD is a "Christian" CD entitled "More Than Meets The Eye." Both CD's were released on June 8, 2006 at the CMA Music Festival Fan Fair held in Nashville, TN. J3 have appeared at the Rosebud Records Booth at Fan Fair for the last three years.
Call your local Country radio station and request "Good For Us" performed by J3 on Rosebud Records, this is J3's debut single.
Rosebud Records has released two new videos on Country Comedian Dollar Bill Eckel entitled "The Gym" and "Yard Sale" both from his Rosebud debut Dollar Bill Eckel "One Swell Foop." DollarBill is getting ready to start work on his third video entitled "I Bought It On EBAY" a parody of the great country classic "I've Been Everywhere."
Allison Owsley began singing and performing on stage at a young age. From the beginning she knew that she was Nashville bound. Coming from a small town, Cross Timbers, Missouri, didn’t slow Allison down. She found plenty of places to showcase her talent in nearby places such as Osage Beach and the infamous Branson. She’s had plenty of practice belting out tunes from her idols, Dolly Pardon, Patty Loveless, Patsy Cline and Tanya Tucker.
Knowing that Branson was not the place for her, Allison packed her bags and headed for the lights of Tennessee at the young age of 19. Six years later she is now a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Music Business and is currently finding material for her next album project. Hitting the studios again soon, Allison is excited to finally be pursuing her passion and bringing her talent to the world. Allison plans to get back to the roots of country music and bring the sound of good country music back to the fans that desperately crave it.
Allison has completed work on her debut album with Rosebud Records and Productions.
A graduate of MTSU with a degree in Music Business.
Allison is also busy co-writing to develop her writing ability. Allison made her Fan Fair debut in 2005 meeting and greeting fans as well as performing for them.
Allison has made performances in places such as The Trap, The Nashville Palace and The Crossroads.
Featured as the opening act for bands and musicians such as Kenny Chesney.
Allison Owsley, co-hosted Rosebud Records "Unplugged" at Fan Fair 2005. Allison makes her Rosebud debut, with the album entitled "Strong Enough" released and available through the Rosebud website or cafe press.com/rosebudrecords. Her first single is scheduled to be released to radio in April entitled "All By My Lonesome" to be followed by "Black and Blue." Call your local radio stations and request these three great artists.

Books
Vera's first book was a tribute to The Osmond Family, entitled The Osmonds "The First Twenty Five Years." Vera was President of The Osmond Family Friendship Club, for more than ten years, before moving to Nashville, TN to pursue her songwriting career. Currently working on writing her second book entitled Black Jack to be released through Rosebud Productions, Fall of 2007. Also co-writing with her husband Fate Vanderpool. His memoirs "The Naked Truth About Nashville" to be released in time for Christmas of 2007.
