You know I am always in your corner to give you the truth about music, however brutally honest it might have to be.
I have watched you develop and mature your thinking about music as well as your voice over the last several years. You have come a long way, and I know that it will only continue to go in a positive direction for you.
Once people get a glimpse of the passion and power that your voice has, they will be completely captivated. Singing is an HONEST expression for you and your emotions, and this is definitely a rare quality in today's performers. Anyone with half an ear for music and talent will sense this right away, and will beg to hear more from you!
The fact that you are still grounded in reality while achieving your dreams makes me proud to know you!
You know you can always count on me girl, no matter how far away you get!

Born and raised in Indiana, Holly Bakehorn's love of music was instilled in her at an early age. She grew up listening to and emulating great artists like Patsy Cline and Cass Elliot of The Mamas &The Papas. It was obvious early on that this young girl had a big voice and was developing it for a career in music.
Holly started out performing in her junior high and high school choruses. There she participated in vocal competitions and musical theater. During college, Holly excelled in her universitys swing choir the IUK Singers. She also began the first of many years of professional vocal training studying classical, rock, pop, and country music. It was also during these years that she first started working with live bands.
After graduating from college, Holly reaffirmed her talent by her many successes in the local and national vocal competitions she entered. In 2000, she signed with an Independent label in Nashville, TN and opened for acclaimed fiddle player and vocalist Clinton Gregory. Although the small label was not able to continue due to financial constraints, she found it to be an overall great experience and wonderful opportunity.
Holly has been featured on two of Central Indianas leading country radio stations, WWKI and WCJC. In 2002, she received thousands of listener votes for WWKIs on-air competition Indiana Idol where she was awarded 1st runner up. She is also continually being asked to perform at many community celebrations and events, festivals, charity benefits, and weddings.
Holly has also performed in Nashville, TN at The Gibson Showcase and The Trap as part of The Nashville Country Show in 2003. During these performances she was able to sing with world-class musicians who have played for Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, George Jones, Exile, Dolly Parton and George Strait.
In April 2004, Holly performed at Wolfies Den in the Gaylord Entertainment Center as part of Renee Grant-Williams Master Class. She was able to sing for several different major record labels and received praise for her performance. In June 2004, She was chosen by WKDF radio as 1 of 32 finalists from hundreds of entries for The Colgate Country Music Showdown in Nashville. She again performed at The Trap and received much praise from the radio station and the judges. In May 2005, Holly was once again chosen by WKDF radio to perform in The Colgate Country Music Showdown. She was one of 10 singers chosen and again received much praise for her vocal ability.
In 2007 Holly joined with Layne Wrye, Jon Nite and Brock Goodwin as part as The Back Roads Tour. They have performed at Judge Beans BBQ, Lyrix and The Midnight Rodeo. Look for many more dates soon!
As Holly continues to develop her talent, she only grows more comfortable on stage and more at home with her audience. She is currently recording her first album (due out at the end of 2007) and honing her songwriting skills, thus, showing her all around talent. Given the opportunity to perform nationwide, Holly can showcase her ability as a rising star in country music.
