Nominations have been announced for the 2008 Cincinnati Entertainment Awards.
The has been nominated in the Country category.
Winners will be announced at the 12th annual Cincinnati Entertainment Awards on Sunday Nov. 23 2008 in the first public event to be held at the Emery Theater in Over-The-Rhine in nine years.
Details on performers, hosts, award presenters and tickets will be announced soon.
This year's CEAs will be held in conjunction with the City of Cincinnati's celebration of the 65th anniversary of the founding of King Records.

Dan Varner has been in the music scene for over four years as a singer/ songwriter. He first started out solo in 2003 and has been booked ever since. The Dan Varner Band has opened up for & shared the big stage with national acts such as Blake Shelton, John Micheal Montgomery, Craig Morgan, Taylor Swift, Josh Gracin, Confederate Rairoad, Little Texas & Jason Micheal Caroll. They have played for tens of thousands of fans in the tri-state along with being voted one of the top 3 bands in the region. His music ranges from classic country, big hair 80's, modern day country along with his soul touching originals that will stay with you and bring you back to show after show. There is sure to be something for everyone.
God that song (Closer Still) just blows my mind! I swear every time I think you guys are just the best you can be (which was better then the rest to begin with) you turn around & out do yourself by getting even better...that song is it darlin, that's the one that's going to make you famous, love it!
