The Beatles, Dave Clark Five, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap (I met Gary), Carrie Underwood (whom we've met three times); Kellie Pickler (was fortunate to meet her, too), and the list goes on and on and on!

About me:

Jim King

I've bounced around Baltimore radio for a long time, but it has always been a hobby, so my tenure in the business is that of working part-time. My full time work was in the manufacturing sector. I retired from the auto industry with 30 years of service. Add in four years of military service in the United States Air Force and that is pretty much my work life.

I'm married with two grown children. My wife Evelyn and I take monthly vists to Atlantic City and also sneak in trips to Las Vegas. At home, I do just that, stay at home. The outdoors is not me, I'd rather spend time surfing the web. But, since my daughter's dog Tess has come to stay with us. I often find myself walking her in the woods and have found it rather peaceful. I enjoy meeting friends online and think MySpace is really cool. I've met several of my MySpace friends in person which is pretty exciting.

I have done some "On The Go" locations for WXCY, but not many. I am usually at the radio station when WXCY is in the community! Above all, I appreciate all my listeners!

Thank you for stopping by my page. Please add me to your friends list!

Help Keep America Mobile

Over the next few weeks, Congress and the current Administration will determine whether to provide immediate support to the domestic auto industry to help it through one of the most difficult economic times in our nation’s history. Our elected officials must hear from all of us now on why this support is critical to our continuing the progress we began prior to the global financial crisis.

From plants to parks. From dealerships to driveways. From gas stations to grocery stores. What happens in the automotive industry affects every one of us. The collapse of the U.S.-based auto industry wouldn’t just impact the more than 239,000 Americans directly employed by the big three.

The effect would be devastating in ways of which you may never have thought:

* Nearly 3 Million jobs would be lost in the first year alone — with another 2.5 Million to follow over the next two years

* Personal income in the United States would drop by over $150.7 billion in the first year

* The cost to local, state and federal governments could $156.4 billion over three years in lost taxes, and unemployment and health care assistance

* Domestic automotive production would more than likely fall to zero—even by international producers due to supplier bankruptcies

As a concerned American and former autoworker, this is our opportunity to tell congress just how much America needs a healthy automotive industry. Tell your U.S. Senators and Representatives that support for the U.S. auto industry is in America's best economic interest and is a sound investment toward a more competitive future. Please call the following toll-free number to be connected with your legislators: 866-927-2233. Or send your representative an email and urge them to support the America's domestic auto industry. Click on Write Your Representative to contact The United States Congress and the House of Representatives. Thanks for your help.
