In the process of recording demo's to pitch to publishers, labels, artists, A&R's etc..... Looking to land that first cut and more!
| | Influences | My influences are vast and many!!! I am inspired by everyone in everyday life and love all genre's of music (with few exceptions). Some of my favorite artists are...... Everclear, Chris Ledoux, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tori Amos, Bush, Candlebox, Kathleen Edwards, Garth Brooks, Corey Smith, George Strait, Matchbox 20, Alan Jackson, Johnny Cash, Eli Young Band, Charlie Daniels, Lee Brice, and most of the CURB Music - writers!!! (just to name a few).. ...I am Kristopher Lee, a lyricist and songwriter, better known as Kristopher Lear. I am a Salesman, Songwriter and a Father. I've been writing since I was about 10 and its the one thing that has stuck with me through the years. I've found by writing I can express my emotions, thoughts and feelings that I can't express otherwise......You add music to the emotion and you get the perfect recipe for some great songs............................................................
...For my real job, I am a Finance Manager and Salesman for an independant car dealership. I have been working in sales and finance for the past 10 years and probably will continue in this business till I'm pushing up daisies. The beautiful thing about my job is, that I get alot of downtime to concentrate on my writing..........................................................................
...I am also a Father of a beautiful girl, Danielle Lynne (2yrs ). She has opened my eyes and shown me what life is really about. I take pride in being a good Dad and also draw much inspiration from all the simple things that go along with that title....................................................................................
...In the past 2 years I have taken my passion of writing to the next level by having my songs professionaly recorded (over 35 demo's recorded). I have collaborated with some great people and worked with some great studio's in Nashville. I've been told however, that the only way to make it as a lyricist/songwriter is to move to Nashville!!! Unfortunately, the obligations of being a good Father don't allow me to just pack up and move........................
...So, I am determined to prove the nay sayers wrong. I believe that with persistence and patience and of course some great songs, that I will defy the odds and land some Major Label cut's.....Without Moving... Of course, I will take trips to Nashville as often as money and life allow, in order to network and gain valuable connections. I am also a member of NSAI and ASCAP and hope to use their services to continue moving myself forward........................
...I have to take a moment here to thank my Family and my Real Friends, that have stuck with me through the years. THANK YOU, for pushing me forward when I wanted to give up. THANK YOU, for picking me up when I was down. And Thank YOU, for believeing in me and telling me so, when it truly mattered most!!! (you all know who you are, and I Love and Repect each of you.)!!!!! Without them, my life would not be what it is today!.............
