Even though I am a country artist.......I had a successful blues band for
almost four years in Pgh.......called: THE BLUES BENDERS.
I also perform with a classic rock/origional band - when not doing my country thing. I sing with THE KNOBS. Great , raw, rock and roll, baby.
So, my interests are: MUSIC - pretty much all kinds...........except rap.....
and hip/hop.
You cant take the honky tonk, honky tonk, outta the girl.

LATELY - I HAVE BE "ADDICTED" TO JACK WHITE/THE WHITE STRIPES. REALLY, WHEN I PUT ON ONE OF HIS CD'S - MY WORLD
CHANGES. VERY COOL.
Ahh, there are just too many. Way too many. Lets put it this way, I
love em' all. I've learned from them all.
Movies
Love old Black and White movies.
Favorite: REBECCA (Hitchcock)
Another great flick: NOTORIOUS (Hitchcock)
NORTH BY NORTHWEST (Hitchcock)
(I think there is a pattern here)!
Love the Doris Day movies too.
Move over Darlin - a favorite.
Calamity Jane.
Anything with Clark Gable in it.
OHHHHHH Man - What a Man.
Television
Dont watch TV. It wastes too much precious time.
Except, I do like to watch: Boston Legal. I love that Allan Shure character.
Books
I use to love to read books. It's been years since I've had the time or
"quiet" to do so.
Heroes
My DAD is number ..1
Where I got the "musical curse". He is the legendary country performer,
RAMBLIN' ROY SCOTT.... been singing on WWVA Jamboree in Wheeling
since l946. He is still performing (80 years old in April). He is a powerhouse,
and my life has been a poor attempt to imitate this man...........
(As Dan Fogelberg wrote).
Another hero, or hero's are my 2 children. Awesome. Wasnt ever going to
have kids (was working on my career)..............but, God knows what he
is doing. Turns out my kids are the best thing that ever happened to me.
Gotta put John Lennon in there - with this catagory.
Lois Scott starting to rehearse for our "Family Christmas Show" Roy Scott, Jan and Lori , The BAILERS - Sunday Dec. 7th at Twin Oaks 1:30 matinee show. Santa too !!!!
About me: Country artist - member of the WWVA Wheeling - Jamboree USA - theater.
I do/did alot of opening act work for major country stars at theaters and concert venues in my Pittsburgh/Wheeling area.
Currently finished up working on my CD. The CD is called, "YOUNG" - title cut written by Nashville songwriter, "DAVE HANNER".
Dave wrote such big hits as "Beautiful You" for The Oakridge Boys, "Lord, I hope This Day is Good" for Don Williams and LeeAnn Womack, and many more. Dave H. is from Pittsburgh (my home) and is the the other 1/2 of one of Pittsbugh's hottest "homegrown" country stars, THE CORBIN/HANNER BAND. Dave Hanner is also my record producer - working with Dave in his studio in Bakerstown is a awesome experience. What a talent.
The official release date of my CD - is on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007. I am having a huge party at Twin Oaks Lounge,
Rainbow Shopping Center, White Oak, PA. YOU ALL ARE INVITED. Party starts at 4:00pm. My country band, PLUM LOCO and I will be doing all 10 songs from my long awaited
CD "YOUNG".

LISTEN TO FOUR OF THE SONGS ON MY NEW CD.
Oh, an interested "tidbit".....some of you may enjoy knowing about.....
I worked with a very "young" singer/songwriter in Wheeling, WVA on the Jamboree. He was 17 at the time. Very talented, we knew back then - he was going to be a big big star....... you could just see it/feel it around him.....
that "IT" thing - whatever you want to call it, the young
man I worked with for over 2 years..............BRAD PAISLEY. THEE Brad Paisley. What a talent, even way back then in the late 80's/90's - you knew he was gonna do something big. So glad Brad "made it".
I've worked with Miss Loretta Lynn 3 times in my career (so far) - and I KNOW she's a HOOT. I'd love to meet/talk/record with Jack White. Jack reminds me of another "envelope PUSHER", Gram Parsons. So cool. And MISS DOLLY PARTON - who has been such an inspiration to my "never say never" attitude. I have always mixed my country with rock, my rock with blues, my blues with bluegrass - always liked to push the envelope. Way back in the 70's (when I got started) you "didnt mix" country and rock. I didnt listen back then - still aint listenin'
today. If its good - its good. No boundries in my music.
Who else I'd like to meet? Artists still out there - trying to make their music "for the sake of the song".
I have a Myspace "music" now - you can click onto my photo
"Lois Scott Music" and it will take you to myspace music -
you can listen to 4 cuts of my new CD, "YOUNG".

Hey Lo, you, your new band and your DAD! - Were AWESOME on Saturday! I'm glad we came out to see you guys instead of the other country show going on that night. Your new guitar player and drummer are great! Guys like him are why I didnt "put my application in!" Oh yeah, pulling off "Old time rock-n-roll" the way you did was nothing short of perfect too! Keep it up and we'll keep comming! The new additions bring alot more personality and everyone seems real "tight" together. Thanks again for Johnny Cash, and tell Dad thanks again for Unkle Dave Dudley. I was happy to hear that you guys are putting together a new cd of originals. I really like alot of your original stuff. Some of it, it's like you could swear you've heard it before. As always, if I can be of any assistance, drop me a line anytime. Especially if you need a driver for your 2010 world tour! We should make it to the Christmas show. I got high hopes for it. I know you are the type of person to do Christmas RIGHT!
Hey Lois, just stoppin by to say hi. Hope things have been good for you. It's been a while.. Lookin forward to the Joe G show at Twin Oaks! The house was rockin last time!
Lately, I've been fluctuating between third an fifth...spent some time at FIRST also....Really, I need to clinch this #1 spot....and with only 46 entries, its an easy judge...just create a quick profile (takes 2 seconds), click on Alliteration on my profile, and then hit judge....it will take you straight to the JLSC judging page. Go head to head, listen to each song for 15 seconds then rate them...once you have listened to a song once, you don't have to again, you can just judge....
Lo, Girl, you wuz da BOMB last night at the Eagles....you had that crowd (and the band for that matter) in the palm of your hand...I can tell, that though you love country, blues is your true heart and soul. And it shows with every note.... Love ya, hope you have all the good fortune in the world with the new "direction".... Cath
Hey Lois, Sorry I missed you at Biddlefest. 2 of the kids had colds and one spent the night at her g-mas the night before and was soooo tired. Cant wait till the next show. Jim said you guys were AWESOME. Get back to me.
