Smoke No, I did for 37 years and I wouldn't reccommend it. I am now on oxygen 24/7 - diagnosed with emphysema and COPD. It sucks being tethered to a machine and it puts a real crimp in my travels. LOL

I am an Army veteran who is married to a career soldier (24 years and counting). My husband returned from Afghanistan in March and is now stationed at Fort Irwin.
I have worked as a journalist, photographer, and public relations person - in the military and as a civilian - for almost forty years. I am a published author of countless compilations and one book ("heartquakes" - Published by Carlton Press. 1995. interests
General
Country music, golf and traveling.
Activities
I live in Las Vegas soooooo... park me in front of a video poker machine and I'm a happy camper!!
Music
Traditional country is my favorite but I love almost all music. I am especially fond of Joe Nichols, Carl Ray, Shelly Streeter, Chris Young, Crystal Sands, Kelly Lang, Stephen Pride, Wild Horses, and Ron Williams ... partly because I have had the pleasure of working with all of them at some point in my PR career, but mostly because I believe they guarantee the future of traditional country music. Kelly Lang is one of the most prolific songwriters EVER.
Movies
old movies ... the ones that left a lot to your imagination.
TV
60 Minutes, 20/20, Kid Nation, Army Wives, anything on HGTV
Quotes
Life is what happens when your karma runs over your dogma.
"Each of us is a vital thread in another person's tapestry;
our lives are woven together for a reason." Sarah Bernhardt
The biggest part of achieving, is believing. (I said that!)
Food
Ham and cabbage is my all-time favorite. I love to cook and I'm a big fan of "comfort foods". I make the best Bavarian potato soup, German potato salad and "Gurken Salat" (cucumber salad). Being Irish and German ... these ARE comfort foods for me since I was raised on them.
