Muscle Shoals, Alabama: The crossroads of country, rock and rhythm & blues, an oft-overlooked wellspring of truly American music made famous by legendary artists from Otis Redding to the Rolling Stones to the Drive-By Truckers. And now there’s one more to add to that list: the harmony-driven country rock from newcomers and namesakes the Shoals…

For the last two years, the Shoals have played stages across the South. They’ve opened for Gretchen Wilson, Shenandoah, Craig Morgan, and their home-state’s favorite sons, Alabama. The Shoals’ blend of driving down-home rock and four-part harmony vocals have garnered them comparisons to that legendary ‘Bama band, as well as classic country-rockers the Eagles.

Most recently, the band entered a Nashville studio to begin recording their debut with Grammy-award-winning producer Paul Worley (Dixie Chicks, Martina McBride, Big & Rich) and songwriter/producer Wally Wilson (Lonestar, Amy Grant). The band recorded six songs that they co-wrote with songwriters like Paul Nelson (“Eighteen Wheels & A Dozen Roses”), Victoria Shaw (“I Love The Way You Love Me”), Gary Burr (“In A Week Or Two”), and fellow North Alabama native Billy Lawson (“I Left Something Turned On At Home”).

With a first-class live show and a set of classic covers plus a few soon-to-be-classic originals, the Shoals are ready to put the spotlight back on their hometown.
