It happened this past Sunday, as mom and dad thought they would take little 1 1/2 year old Gracie to an indoor playground to have a little fun....
Let me set the scene...packed wall to wall in our hometown of Barrie Ontario, the Little Critters indoor playland was all alight with games, the noise of whack-a-mole (not the Aaron Nevil kind), and the joy filled screams of hyperglycemic sugar riddled children set free form the surly bonds of their parents if only for a few short hours....
.......I don't know if Ma n Pa are allowed in the ball-pit with their little one and 20 other screaming kids, but we hopped in anyway....after a few moments of rustling around in plastic balls covered in unimaginable goo from chocolate bars and (?) ...we got out and decided to play some basketball, when all of a sudden, Daddy notices his Blackberry is missing (equivalent to Austin Powers misplacing his Mojo Baby)....where did I lose it?...think dammit!!!?!?....THE BALL PIT! By this time, everyone had cleared from the ball pit, and there it was, sitting empty, fully visible through it's screen walls to the multitudes of parents sitting in the cafeteria area....without thinking (as per my normal M.O.)...I put my hat on backwards, and climbed into the ball pit (keep in mind, nobody knows I'm looking for something, AND I'm the only one in there...AND, everyone can see me...AND they're watching.....AND....I'm a grown up.....!!!....)
....... I start flailing about, running my hands under the length of the ball pit, and throwing the balls in the air in a bird like motion....I turn around in circles, and do this repeatedly up and down the pit in a panicked manner, and if you didn't know I was looking for something (as nobody did) you would think I was an overgrown child who is allowed to jump in that forbidden puddle for the first time, until at last, I find my Blackberry!....
....I then look up to a sea of raised eyebrows, and the murmurs of, ...."yeah I think that is Jason McCoy".......
....DOOOOOD, I am SOOOO getting a ball pit!
