Hey! I'm 15 years old and I live in North Carolina. I'm a sophomore in high school and I LOVE COUNTRY MUSIC!!! AHH. :D The reason I joined DR was so I could enter in the Taylor Swift Contest. I LOVE TAYLOR SWIFT! But looking around DR, I think I'll become addicted really fast, all my favorite country singers have a page. It's really cool! I love singing, playing guitar, and writing songs. I've been playing guitar for almost a year. I got my first "real" guitar on November 11, 2007. (November 11, 2008 is when Taylor Swift's 2nd album comes out! I think that is the coolest thing ever!) Anyway, before I got that guitar I was playing one of those student guitars I got when I was 5 years old. I didn't start playing guitar until Sept. - Oct. 2007, though. What made me want to learn to play guitar was, well, I found out about Taylor Swift and I wanted to learn how to play her songs. Also, in summer 2007, I went to Nashville, TN, (for the 2nd time, I went 3 years earlier when I was 11) and went to the Grand Ole Opry. It was amazing, and almost everyone who performed that night played guitar. I wanted to be just like them. So when we got home I started learning on my old student guitar. After I learned some songs and my mom figured out this wasn't just a phase and I really did want to play guitar, we went out to get a "real" one. My first guitar, not counting the student one, was a 12 string Carlo Ribotti. A what? Yeah, I never heard of that brand either. But it was only $100 and it has a really good sound. But besides music, I love traveling, animals, photography, and graphic design. I hope to find some awesome new artists on here! I only joined yesterday and I already heard some really good artists I never heard of before.
