Born in love with music, especially singing, at age three Shayna's grandfather (famous drummer for CBS radio station in New York, New York), would call on the phone just to hear her sing. Naturally being raised in a well known and accomplished musical household, her excitement for an involvement in music led to dance lessons beginning at the age of three, and piano at the age of seven. Growing up she had an appreciation for her well known father's talent and accomplishments, leading her to pick up the art of french horn at the age of eight. From the moment she began playing, she was quickly recognized by her peers. Her natural talent led to award winnings, top scores at judged festivals, and top chair positions in her middle and high school band. Continuing the trend of perfection in performance, her piano skills were also immaculate. Acceleration in award winning and superb festival ratings, led the referral of her current piano teacher to a reknown teacher who plays for the national symphony orchestra. Thus leaving no time for anything but practice. Her singing desire never once attempted to fade, she began to chant in her place of worship. She was often commented on her "sweet and beautiful" voice. Come the end of high school, friends approached her after overhearing her sing, convincing her to sing a capela at a talent show. Leaving a remembered performance of "Wind Beneath My Wings" to her grandma, not only touched hearts in a tearful audience, but also her own, with an ultimate decision to fulfull a lifelong dream. At age seventeen, she took the art to the door of pursuit, starting a career under promising management. After being left with unfilfilled promises, she took music back home and turned her living room into a religious six hour daily practice session for five years solid. Her end result left in years of hard work paid off. Beginning by guest starring for known musicians around the D.C. area, she left local bars by storm and the consistant request for her talent. After a couple years of stage experience and steady performances, Shayna became a known artist throughout her peers in the D.C. area. Following her own goals and personal sudden success, came her decision to concentrate on song writing when an offer from more promising management in the infamous "Nashville" knocked on her door. Shayna picked up all she owned and moved to the infamous city in 2004. Through unexpected journey's with other songwriters, producers, and well accredited musicians, came experience dealing with all aspects of music. Shayna is currently songwriting and supporting other local musicians in Nashville. She continues to inspire with her songwriting material and enjoys her musically inspired surroundings in the famous "Music City". She expects to release an self wrote album of her musical journey's in 2008.
