Inspiration My grandma was my absolute biggest inspiration and fan. I do this because she believed in me. She made me promise I would chase this dream and because of her, I realized my true, rooted to the soul love I have for music. I know it sounds cliche' but I won't stop until I get there.

biography
Shawna Lynn started the journey to catch her dream when she was about 5 years old. At first it was comendeering the family to sit for hours on end at the kitchen table while she sang with a yellow honey stirring stick as her microphone. She still has that honey stick and often carries it with her for good luck. From there it went to the "biggest little stages" that she could find all over and surrounding her home town from talent competitions to productions of all kind.
Since her grandfather was close friends and toured with the Late Swing Legend, Bob Wills- country western swing was in her blood. With influences such as Meryl Haggard, Hank Williams, Ricky Skaggs and Dolly Parton, Shawna Lynn incorporates several different styles into one power-house voice trying not to sound like anyone. When asked who she would relate her voice to, her most common response is "myself". She likes it that way.
Hitting several bumps along the way and sometimes losing hope that things would ever come to life, she continued to send out demos, photos, letters and cards to anyone and everyone all over the world hoping someone would pick one up and give her the chance to prove herself.
And one day in 2006, that is exactly what happened. So now, it's all a dream. Back and forth between Northern California and Nashville, Shawna Lynn is currently writing with some of the most successful writers on Music Row. Also represented by a major Booking Agency and getting ready to begin production on her EP, things are going great. A move to Tennessee is in the future and things just keep heating up.
