  I was probably first inspired by listening to the Beatles. My oldest brother listened to them, Bad Company, and a few other rock bands that were my earliest influences. My love for lyrics drew me to country music.

About Me

SNGWRTR is a virtual band showcasing the songwriting talents of Southern California based country songwriter John Tolley. The majority of the songs featured on the SNGWRTR albums (six 10 song cd's as of 12/08) were crafted using Apple GarageBand with royalty free loops that reflect the sound and style of John's songs as they are performed in live acoustic performances around Southern California. John is currently the Coordinator for Nashville Songwriters Association International ("NSAI") in Orange County, Calfornia.
