SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4 - AIKEN & FRIENDS FEST - IT'S ALMOST HERE!!!

Just a few days away and folks are really excited. Entertainment writer Cyndi Knight had this to say about Saturday's festival: "The hula highway will run from Norfolk to Smithfield come Saturday when musician Mike Aiken, as well as a group of his friends - including Paul Thorn, Canadian roots rocker Linda McRae and the Winnipeg alternative pop duo Twilight Hotel- take to the stage in a daylong event." Folks are buying tickets and making reservations in Smithfield for a getaway weekend. Don't miss out.

The Smithfield Music's Aiken & Friends Fest has an excellent lineup! Featuring Paul Thorn, Mike Aiken, Canadian artists Twilight Hotel, Linda McRae, Regional favorite Page Wilson & Reckless Abandon, Win Winslow, Ruth Wyand, Curt Brady and Slippin' and Slidin.' This year's Americana/Roots festival has something for everyone, the outdoor stages are free, there will be beer and wine available as well as food. MARCH 2009 - AIKEN & FRIENDS CRUISE

The 2009 Aiken & Friends Cruise is booking fast! Spend a week with Mike and Amy aboard the 105 foot Tall Ship Schooner Alliance in the San Blas Islands off Panama. The Songwriting workshop and Adventure cruise includes sailing, diving, unexplored beaches, Kuna Indians etc. Very different,very cool! Lots of music, lot of fun in the sun!
