About Me

Born and raised in the great state of Maine, Jeff Caron picked up on music at an early age. His inspirations were the guitar players of the '80's metal scene like; Scorpions, Van Halen, Poison, Bon Jovi, Guns-N-Roses, among many. From Junior High all through High School, Jeff hooked up with other young rockers and formed many rock bands. By the early '90's, this kind of music died quickly and "Grunge" or "Alternative" rock took over. Set in his ways, Jeff didn't want any part of it so he started changing the radio station to country music. Jeff heard Garth Brooks for the first time and was hooked, almost hypnotized! Jeff knew at that point that's what he wanted to do with music - mix today's country with some of the rock he grew up listening to and playing on the guitar! By the time Jeff was 18 (late 1992) he sought out for a more musical life and packed his 1986 Chevy Celebrity and drove to southern Florida. As he was starting a new life right off A1A on the treasure coast, Jeff was quickly introduced to Jimmy Buffett's music. He played in bars on the sunny Florida coast and enjoying being young and on his own, it didn't take long until Jeff ran out of $money$and headed back to Maine in 1994. In 1996 he joined the United States Marine Corps and spent the next 4 years of his life in Jacksonville, NC. In the process of building a strong fan base in Jacksonville, Jeff married the love of his life, Julie. They were set up on a blind date to the Marine Corps Ball while she was visiting her sister. Jeff's fan base was growing and folks would come see him play on a weekly basis. He also recorded his very first CD in Jacksonville titled "My Heart Is Torn." It consisted of 5 songs he had written. At the turn of the century, his enlistment was up and he and his wife (and baby!) moved to Music City, USA! Jeff now had the sound (Rocking Country with some tropical flavor), the girl, a new home in Middle Tennessee, the ever-growing family, and nothing to stop him in Nashville! With the release of Jeff Caron's debut album "Twist of Lime" on Magenta Records in 2007, he is busy supporting it as we speak. It's an exciting time for Jeff and there are many great things in the works right now!
