He's a man on a mission. The proverbial rocks in the road are only a challenge to prove James Colburn has conviction as he travels the musical path he has chosen. When you put talent and commitment together it's a winning combination. Blend his friendly flavored personality and chocolate colored hair and eyes and this Texas twister can melt the air before he even adds a song to the mix. James was first professionally inspired while performing at the Country Showdown contest sponsored by KIKK Radio. Colburn plays some rhythm guitar and fiddle for his own enjoyment. He considers his ambition that of a singer and not a musician. He's been musically inspired by such frontrunners as George Straight, Alan Jackson, Willie Nelson, Don Williams and to flex the country foundation he enjoys 80's bands. Listening to this varied combination of music seemed to blend his own traditional style with a pop flavor, making James a versatile vocalist with an approach that gives the song what is demands and deserves. James is a colorful and content person who enjoys his music but still makes time for his family. He treats people with respect and trust, as he would like to be treated. He believes in destiny as he works his way up to the major label negotiating table. James Colburn has such a musical hunger he can consume a song completely and not even spit out the bones!
