Oh by the way if you want a serious shot at the labels get a producer!<BR>They will listen to your singing and get to know YOU, and find songs for YOU. <BR>They have all of the in's to get to the top writers and musicians as well as the studios.<BR>They also will get your cd evaluated by labels, vocal coach's and market evaluaters<BR>to make sure the songs you get or do CLICK with the current market. A good<BR>producer will also have in's to record labels and get your cd heard. <BR> I have been referenced by a record label so they provide the producer. <BR>Doing it all on your own and doing it right (in Nashville which may open a few more doors)<BR>is expensive so if you are NOT referred by a label you will spend about 25 to 40 grand on<BR>a 10 song album, all A-list. <BR> My advise, try to get in front of an A&R rep from a label and sing your heart out!<BR>They can refer you to a producer to cut a demo and if they think your marketable they will foot the bill.<BR>If they dont sign you then you foot the bill. I was lucky and had a chance to open for Big & Rich and there <BR>was an A&R guy in the crowd, thats how I started. Sometimes it works sometimes it don't! <BR> If you cant....do like Taylor Swift says, go to Nashville and lay your money down......it's a roll of the dice.<BR>Remember never let go of your dreams!<BR>Dale Vaughn<BR>
