Inspiration Well, this all started when I was a toddler. I was always singing around the house, and when I actually found out that people could sing for a living, I was sold! It is hard to say who was my first inspiration, but it was probably Reba McEntire. I remember watching her, and she would go out there and give it all she had. As a child, I wanted to be just like her- the hair and all! I love country music because there is a song out there for everybody. It is real. It is about real people and their experiences. I could just go on and on about my inspirations, but I won't. I just would like to say that I want to touch people with my music in the same way that my favorite artists have touched me. If I can do that, then I have done my job!

biography
Emily Edwards - singer
Hey ya’ll! I guess I will take a few moments to introduce myself to you. My name is Emily Edwards, and I am a Christian first and foremost! Also, I am a twenty year old country music singer and songwriter from Vicksburg, Mississippi. I’ve been singing since I was a toddler and have never stopped! Music is my life, and I spend my time singing and writing songs. I wrote my first song when I was six years old, and I enjoy playing my instruments- the flute, the lap harp, the harmonica, the guitar, and the piano. I have had many wonderful opportunities to perform the music that I love all over my home state of Mississippi and many other states as well. Performing has allowed me to travel to many great places, and as a result, I have met many wonderful people. Some of the places that I have performed include Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, TN, the Jerry Clower Festival, the World Catfish Festival, and Riverfest just to name a few. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to record a few radio commercials and appear in a television commercial to educate teens about the issue of HIV/AIDS. I feel very fortunate to have played a part in this. Also, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported me along the way! You know who you are! I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to share my music!
