Some people don't decide until later in life what they want to be when they grow up. Elizabeth Runde had it figured out at an early age. Since the age of three, when she stood on her parents' coffee table and sang her favorite song, "Elizabeth" by the Statler Brothers, she knew she wanted to do nothing but sing. Balking at the eight years of piano lessons her parents urged her to take, Elizabeth got started with her singing career in earnest. She auditioned for and got parts in several musicals at her local arts center while in grade school. At age 13, she made her solo debut singing the Dixie Chicks' "Let 'Er Rip" karaoke style at the Bell Buckle Café in Bell Buckle, TN. Elizabeth's musical journey continued all through high school in her native Columbia, TN, where she appeared in "The Music Man" during her senior year and sang in choir and special ensemble groups. Elizabeth found even more singing success in the past three years. She has won or placed in talent contests such as the Colgate Country Showdown and Loretta Lynn's Talent Contest. Elizabeth is also a budding songwriter. Most recently, she collaborated as a singer and writer with songwriter Steve Craig and appeared in a writer's round with him at the Bluebird Café to favorable reviews. Elizabeth is currently attending Middle Tennessee State University where she is pursuing a degree in Music Business.
