Inspiration I would have to say The Counting Crows, Keith Urban, Bon Jovi, and Toby Keith just to name a few. There are so many more for so many reasons.
For Fans Of Maybe Travis Tritt fans...I would put my stuff in like a southern rock blended in to a mix of modern and old school country. I guess that's really up to you all!

biography

My name is Dave. I am a singer/song writer from Sherman Texas. It's only been in the last couple of years that I have ventured in to the country market. The songs up are my first attempt at writing this kind of stuff. I was in a Christian Rock band for about 8 years. We played all over the country and had quite a fan base going. We were starting to get radio play and had some solid write ups from National publications. You can still find some of our stuff by typing in "soulsoak" in your search engine. Any way...we ended up calling it quits in 2002 for personal reasons and I didn't write for quite some time. A couple of years ago I began popping out some country stuff and figured I would record them and see what you...the public thought about it. The songs I have up were all written about my family and close friends. Let me know what ya think. I'm looking forward to this new country chapter in my life.
