Inspiration First and foremost, my Grandfather is my inspiration! He passed away many years back but he was the one who made me pull out the guitar. Before he died, the first question he'd ask every time I'd see his was,"have you been practicing?" Till this day, I think about him every time I pick up the guitar.

biography
Originally from Albuquerque, NM, I started playing guitar when I was nine years old. I used listen and play along with my aunts and uncles when they would play with Grandpa. My older brother was also playing in his high school so there was always a guitar being played at any given time of the day. Singing was a big thing when I was little. I used to love singing with my mom to her Elvis Presley cassettes. As I got older, I used to listen to artists like Marty Stuart, Swayer Brown, Billy Joe Royal, Joel Sonnier, Reba, Laci Dalton, The Judds, and so on. It was until the early 90s when Garth Brooks started making it big that I really wanted to be a performer. Garth on stage almost immediately become my idol when I saw him live in 92. After that day, I knew I wanted to be on that stage every moment I could. So in the late 90's I started played bass for local bands in New Mexico. I started writing a lot of music and recording demos all the time. Finally started my own band called Rapid Fire out of Albuquerque, which became a huge local favorite for Top 40 music. For about five years, the band and I stayed real busy in the Casino circuit around New Mexico. Well, I started thinking and realized that's as far as I was going to get with music if I didn't move away. So two years ago, I decided to leave Rapid Fire and move to Nashville, TN and try to make something more of myself. Since then, I've played with a few groups in Downtown Broadway, still writting a lot and attending classes and workshops with BMI, and most of all, I am beginning to find where I belong in music. Currently part a country duet called "Sol Faye" with a great female vocalist, Kimberly Faye. With that said, Sol Faye is available for hire. Please contact me, Daniel @
