Hi Anne,

Yeah, Dad was a looker in his younger days. He had 9 brothers and sisters, and everybody used to talk about "those good lookin" Johns Boys." He was 1/4 native american. I've never seen anybody tan like he did in the summer. He loved to work in his garden and would get a super deep tan. I took more after my mom, who is mostly Irish, so I have to really work at it to get half as dark as he did. He was a musician , also. At least I inherited that.:-) Don't know why I'm telling you all this. Just an opportunity to remember him, I guess. Thanks so much for the comment and giving me a chance to reflect. I hope you had a great weekend and the coming week will be even better.

Hi Anne,

Thanks for the comment about the photo. They were a great lookin couple. My dad passed away in 2001, unfortunately. The photo was made at bus station in Birmingham right after my dad returned from overseas in WW2.
